children a vision and understanding of Britain and the wider world as populated by diverse peoples.\u00a0 Placing mutual respect for the diversity of different faiths at the heart of the curriculum means actively exploring faith and belief in Britain today.\u00a0 Delegates will consider how RE enables pupils to be reflective about their own beliefs, religious or otherwise and to explore their identity and belonging, considering what this means in a national community increasingly defined by multi-faith, multicultural values.\u00a0 Through a mix of direct input and practical application, colleagues will examine creative approaches to ensure that they enhance SMSC through a broad and balanced RE
